What parent doesn't want to see their child shine, succeed and achieve? What parent doesn't want to see their child happy? We want to be proud of our child, to enjoy his success.

I will never forget that day. My son participated in science fairs, and after winning first place at the local science fair, was sent to attend the California State Fair. Thousands of children participated in Los Angeles. Children and parents prepare for this event for a whole year, or even longer. Looking around, I see teams bringing out their large project boards. Excited parents with their children, carrying their children's projects. An atmosphere of excitement everywhere. I felt honored just to be there, to witness my son's participation.

After all the effort that went into the event, it was time for the award ceremony. Thousands of people – participants, parents and guests – sit in the stadium, watching. Now it's time for the "our" category. First the "Honorable Mention" winner was called on stage. Then – third place, second place… and first place. This is my son's name. Can you imagine how I felt? I think I practically took off and floated in the air. "That's a good feeling," I remember thinking. And the people around me – congratulating me, sharing in the joy, I heard a man say. "I bet it is".

This is the end of what we want. This wonderful feeling is what we want for our children and ourselves. But how do we achieve this? How can we apply to our children themselves? How do we teach our children what steps they need to take now for their future success?

4 main things that contribute to our child's motivation:

1. Significance and motivation: The goal should be an inspiring goal for your child, and he should feel that achieving the goal is important to him.

2. Possibility: The child must know and feel that it is possible for him to achieve the goal. If the child doubts that he can achieve the goal, or thinks it is impossible, he is less likely to work toward the goal and apply himself.

3. Acknowledgment and praise, reward: It is easier to keep the child motivated when offering a tangible reward. Knowing that achieving the goal will be met with tangible forms of recognition, praise and reward will add that extra drive.

4. Persistence. The path to any worthwhile goal includes some minor setbacks and disappointments. The kid has to learn to get up, brush himself off, and get back on the horse.

When a child knows that a goal is important, feels that it is possible for him to achieve it, and is offered an incentive to work toward the goal, he is more likely to achieve that goal. will encourage them to put in the effort required to achieve . Add to that consistency, and results are guaranteed.

Significance:

As parents, we always want our child to work towards a goal that inspires him. Help your child see possibilities. Help your child dream big.

Don't wait until your child is in high school to start thinking about ways to achieve this. Would you like your child to get a good education, to succeed in school? Start early. Encourage your child to do well in school. Tell your child stories about successful students in school and the successes that resulted from that success. Explain the benefits of having a good education. Why is it important to make great efforts to get a good education? The key is to give your child a chance. If your child gets the idea that it's important to you that they get a good education and succeed in school, you've missed the mark. You want your child to understand why it is important for him to do all these things.

Make sure your child spends time with friends who are successful at school. When your child is young, choosing friends is easy. Later, your child will choose his own friends.
